What we offer

Two services. One continuous journey.

We designed our services to work together — so your pet receives consistent, compassionate care from diagnosis through to a peaceful goodbye.

🌿

Palliative & Comfort Care

Ongoing at-home care for cats and dogs living with chronic or terminal illness. Pain management, quality-of-life monitoring, and support for you and your family — at every stage.

When your pet has a known diagnosis and the goal is comfort rather than cure — that is when Next Animal steps in. As part of your pet's palliative care plan, Dr Shine manages ongoing comfort needs at home — including pain management, arthritis injections, chronic skin conditions, cardiac monitoring, and prescription treatments — so your pet never has to leave the place they feel safest.

  • Regular home visits on your schedule
  • Pain and symptom management
  • Daily QoL monitoring with our free tool
  • Guidance for families and carers
  • Coordination with your regular vet
🕊️

Gentle End-of-Life Care

When the time comes to say goodbye, we provide compassionate in-home end-of-life care for cats and dogs — peaceful, unhurried, and completely on your terms. In the place they feel safest.

  • In-home, at a time that suits you
  • Sedation included — no distress
  • All the time you need
  • Aftercare options available
  • Paw print memento
Why palliative care matters

Most families wait too long
to ask for help

The hardest part of caring for a seriously ill pet is not knowing what to do — or when. Palliative care gives you a plan, a vet you trust, and the confidence to make the right decisions.

01

You get a vet who knows your pet

When the hardest moment comes, you are not calling a stranger. You are calling someone who has been in your home, who knows your pet's name.

02

Pain is managed from the start

Chronic pain in cats and dogs is often silent. We assess and manage it proactively — not reactively.

03

You know when it is time

Our daily QoL tool helps you track your pet's wellbeing objectively — so the decision, when it comes, feels clear rather than impossible.

"The hardest question in veterinary medicine is not how to treat — it is when to stop. Palliative care gives families the time, the support, and the clarity to answer that question with love rather than panic."
